    The Hillview Free Library was established in 1899 when Jane Keyes Hamilton, a resident of New York City and a visitor to Diamond Point decided the community should have a library.

    In 1901, having outgrown the original building, a friend, architect J. Dickinson Hunter, designed the stunning stone arched structure, whose curved door opened into an oak lined great room.

    The "Great Room" in the Hillview Free Library is the scene of grant sponsored concerts, art exhibits and lectures.
